Foreman Memorial Baptist Church

We believe the Holy Bible is the inspired, inerrant, infallible, and sufficient Word of God. It is God’s complete revelation to mankind and the final authority for faith, doctrine, and daily living. Every sermon, lesson, and ministry of our church is grounded in the Scriptures.

Key Scriptures: 2 Timothy 3:16–17; Psalm 19:7–11; 2 Peter 1:20–21

We believe Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, fully God and fully man. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on the cross as the substitute for sinners, rose bodily from the grave, ascended into heaven, and will one day return in glory to judge the living and the dead.

Key Scriptures: John 1:1–14; Colossians 1:15–20; 1 Corinthians 15:3–4

Salvation is God’s gracious gift received through repentance toward God and faith in Jesus Christ alone. No one is saved by good works, religious rituals, or personal merit. Christ accomplished everything necessary for our salvation through His death and resurrection.

Key Scriptures: Ephesians 2:8–9; Romans 10:9–13; John 3:16

The Gospel is the good news that Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, was buried, and rose again on the third day. Everyone who repents and believes in Him receives forgiveness of sins and eternal life.

Key Scriptures: 1 Corinthians 15:1–4; Romans 1:16–17

Yes. Salvation is entirely the work of God’s grace. We are justified by faith alone because of Christ alone, to the glory of God alone.

Key Scriptures: Romans 3:21–28; Galatians 2:16; Titus 3:5

Our beliefs are rooted in historic Baptist doctrine and the great truths of the Protestant Reformation. We affirm the authority of Scripture, salvation by grace through faith, the Trinity, the deity of Christ, the work of the Holy Spirit, believer’s baptism, the local church, and the Great Commission.

You will experience Christ-centered worship, congregational singing, prayer, Scripture reading, and verse-by-verse biblical preaching. Our goal is not entertainment but the faithful worship of God through His Word.

Our primary method is expository preaching, carefully explaining the meaning of Scripture verse by verse while applying God’s truth to everyday life. We believe God’s people grow best when they hear the whole counsel of God.

Key Scripture: Nehemiah 8:8

Most worship services last approximately 75 to 90 minutes, allowing adequate time for worship, prayer, and the faithful preaching of God’s Word.

We seek worship that is biblical, reverent, Christ-centered, and congregational. Our music emphasizes doctrinally sound hymns and worship songs that exalt God rather than entertain people.

Key Scripture: Colossians 3:16

We observe the Lord’s Supper regularly as commanded by our Lord Jesus Christ. It is a remembrance of His sacrificial death until He comes again.

Key Scriptures: Luke 22:19–20; 1 Corinthians 11:23–26

Yes. We provide Bible studies for adults, youth, and children designed to deepen biblical knowledge and strengthen Christian discipleship.

Key Scripture: Acts 17:11

Membership begins with a personal profession of faith in Jesus Christ, believer’s baptism (if not previously baptized by immersion after conversion), meeting with the pastor, and affirming our church’s beliefs and covenant.

Church membership is God’s design for believers to worship together, grow together, serve together, encourage one another, and live under loving biblical accountability.

Key Scriptures: Hebrews 10:24–25; Acts 2:41–47

Every believer has been gifted by God for ministry. There are opportunities to serve in hospitality, children’s ministry, music, teaching, outreach, prayer, discipleship, missions, and many other areas.

Key Scripture: 1 Peter 4:10

We seek to care for one another through prayer, pastoral visitation, encouragement, biblical counseling, practical assistance, and bearing one another’s burdens.

Key Scripture: Galatians 6:2

Yes. Prayer is central to the life of our church. Throughout the week we gather for Bible study, corporate prayer, fellowship, discipleship, and ministry.

Key Scripture: Acts 2:42

Jesus Christ is the Head of the Church. Under His authority, the church is shepherded by biblically qualified pastors, served by deacons, and supported by faithful members working together for the glory of God.

Key Scriptures: Colossians 1:18; Ephesians 4:11–12

Pastors and deacons are expected to meet the biblical qualifications found in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1. Character always takes precedence over talent.

Church discipline is practiced biblically, lovingly, and redemptively. Its purpose is repentance, restoration, and the purity and unity of Christ’s church.

Key Scriptures: Matthew 18:15–17; Galatians 6:1
